We absolutely love this place! My wife and I got the Delmonico ribeye; they were both grilled to a perfect medium like we ordered. I also got the mushrooms and onions on top, which were also amazing! I would also highly recommend the "Creeker" drink; it goes so well with the steaks. I'm hard to impress when it comes to steaks, but this place definitely has impressed me. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

Tiny restaurant with a nice interior. Would have rated higher but they were out of several items. Our server was amazing, very attentive. The crust on the Prime Rib was very flavorful. Everything was well priced also. Will definitely go back. More

I've never had a bad meal here. Threonine rings are the best around. Steaks are tender, juicy and flavorful. Burgers homemade and meal size. Fresh cut fries aren't to be missed. The fresh squeezed mimosa drink is refill worthy.

Was able to reserve a table, but it has to be at least 90 minutes later.
Prime rib special for $29.95 tasted great! I ordered the $28.99 (2) crab cakes meal so we could share as it was a better deal to order the 2nd crab cake rather than order a crab cake as an add-on to the steak dinner.
Crab cakes were fresh, but I have had more flavorful ones made from blue crabs. The All You Can Eat king crab legs & shrimp combo with fries was $49.95, and many people there were enjoying them, but I don't eat that much!
Separate room can be used for parties. I won a $30 gift certificate from a fundraiser, so that helped cover one meal. Casual atmosphere with a small rustic bar. Sunday only open until 7 pm, but rest of the week, they are open until 9 pm. Single men's and women's bathrooms.

We love taking random drives as a family and saw this place and had to try them out. We were not disappointed! Amazing food and atmosphere. It doesn't look like much on the outside but as soon as you walk in the door they were friendly. When the food came out it looked like something you would get at a fine dining restaurant. Everything was absolutely amazing. We got three different burgers and split them with each other to try them all. The pretzel appetizer was delicious. They were able to make a good long island which is hard to find and their s'mores old fashion was delicious. The service was family friendly and our server Amy made everything feel comfortable and at home. Would highly recommend to anyone who is passing by or lives in the area. Well worth the drive! Can't wait to come back and try out their amazing steaks.

This place is all about the food, and for us the service was not far behind. Unfortunately we were sat at counter-height tables in the center of the room, making conversation difficult. I am not sure how we could have gotten seating in the other dining area. Still. The food was amazing our server was friendly and attentive. We will be back to try other things on the menu

My husband and I have passed this place many of times and finally had the chance to stop and it did not disappoint. Since owning a smoker (grill), it is hard to find a restaurant that impresses us when it comes to steaks. The flavor was fantastic , no steak sauce needed. I ordered mine medium and my husband ordered his rare and they came out perfect. My husband hasn't stopped talking about it since! The whipped potatoes and rice medley were delicious also. The potatoes had lots of flavor and the texture was light and fluffy. We will definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed the service and the food. The Bloody Mary was one of the best I’ve had. Their prices and quality were wonderful. They use beef tallow which is also a win in my book. We live about 45 minutes away, and, it was totally worth the drive. Can’t wait to come back! More

First visit and super impressed! I have so many great things to say about our first visit to Old Trail Tavern. We are fairly local but just haven't ventured out until now. We tend to be on the "pickier" side about food which is why we cook at home most nights. We care a lot about quality, sourcing, taste, cost, how things are prepared, etc. We try not to consume a lot of seed oils so we were delighted when we found out that they fry their french fries and other items in tallow! I even reached out to find out more about the tallow and they emailed me back right away and were completely transparent. I really appreciated that. We haven't been impressed by many other local places lately and it's been a bit of a bummer to not have a restaurant that we really "love". Also, with the cost of food rising we feel it's important to get a quality meal when we do want to spend on going out to eat. So we had a special day last week and we chose to go to OTT to celebrate. Upon entering I really loved the atmosphere. Sometimes bars can be "dumpy" but this was not like that and had a real "pub/tavern" type feel. Also, It's an odd thing to notice but their lighting is almost perfect! I despise bright cold white/blue LED lights and their lights where warm, orange, and inviting. It wasn't dark but it was cozy and gave off a perfect glow. We happened to know our server so of course that was a delight and she did an excellent job (thanks Steph). Now to the food...My husband got a steak and sides. He really enjoyed the steak and I thought it looked delicious too. He said it was seasoned perfectly. I got the firecracker shrimp and they were soooo good. I will get those again! I got a side of fries and balsamic mushrooms. They were also very impressive. The fries were crispy and had that scrumptious tallow taste that I love and the mushrooms were bursting with flavor. I fully expected the mushrooms to not have much flavor and I was wrong. One other thing I wanted to compliment is that I really appreciate on the menu that they say where some of the proteins are sourced. Many of the items specify where it comes from or more specific details about the meat. I appreciate the transparency of that because then I know what I am getting. It matters. So all this to say, I think this restaurant is doing a lot of things right and I'm glad this little gem exists in our community. I hope every experience is as good as our first time eating here. We hope to make this our "go to" place for special occasions. Keep up the good work! :)
